GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation Courses

Pre-Training Course
This course is mandatory for those who would like to take the GYROTONIC® Teacher Training Course to teach the GYROTONIC® Expansion System. It is 20-28 hours, minimum 6 days, of learning the core set of equipment exercises in order to physically prepare the student for the Foundation Course. It is strongly recommended that the student have some private or introductory sessions on the pulley tower prior to enrollment. The focus of this course is the student's execution of the exercises in their own body. The student then has 1-12 weeks to begin their Foundation Program.
 Alternatively, you can schedule private pre-training according to your schedule. Please contact the studio for more information.


Pre-Requisites: Previous experience in GYROTONIC® exercises.

Teacher Training Course


This course introduces teaching techniques and principles underlying the Foundation Course Exercise Manual, used with the Pulley Tower Combination Unit. The students learn in small groups, each taking the role of student and teacher alternatively to facilitate the learning process. The focus is on the "hands-on" and verbal communication of the work, including breathing patterns and corresponding movements, physical guidance of the student, and how to build and execute a GYROTONIC® exercise program. The student then begins their Apprenticeship Period to prepare for their final Certification through Juliu Horvath, the creator of the GYROTONIC® Expansion System. This course is 12 days with a minimum of 60 hrs
.

Supervised Apprentice Hours

This Apprentice Review Course counts as 30 Supervised Apprentice Hours towards the Apprenticeship Requirements. Under the supervision of a Master Trainer, the Apprentices have to execute and apply the "Physical Guidance" aspects of all Foundation Course exercises to a moving person. There are two formats in the delivery of this course:


Two Segments Format

Two 3 consecutive days, 15 hours, total of 30 hours. The Apprentice must teach at least 20 "Teaching Client Hours" before participation in the first Supervised Apprentice Hours segment. The Apprentice then must continue executing a minimum of 20 more "Teaching Client Hours" before participation in the second Supervised Apprentice Hours Segment. The Apprentice cannot enroll in Supervised Segment 2 until additional 20 "Teaching Client Hours" are completed.


One Segment Format
6 consecutive days, total of 30 hours. The Apprentice must teach at least 30 "Teaching Client Hours" before participating in the Supervised Apprentice Hours Segment.
 This Supervised Review Workshop must be taken with the same GYROTONIC® Master Trainer
.

Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor Update Course

As a Continuing Education and License Renewal, the Certified Trainer / pre-trainer must complete a mandatory Update Course within the 12-month period prior to the date of expiration of the License.
This course focuses on:


Updating on the recent foundation course exercises lists.

Refinement of the physical execution of the exercises.

Discussion on the application of exercises to the clients.

GYROTONIC® Level 2 Preparation (2 Parts)

A Continuing Education and Preparatory Course for students who wish to prepare themselves before taking GYROTONIC® Level 2 Foundation Course .
 This is a two 3 Day course set up

Course Fee: $350 per part

GYROTONIC® Level 2 Program (2 Parts)

A Continuing Education and Preparatory Course for students who wish to prepare themselves before taking GYROTONIC® Level 2 Foundation Course .

GYROKINESIS® Level 1 Foundation Courses

GYROKINESIS® Pre-Training Course

This course is mandatory for those who would like to take the GYROKINESIS® Teacher Training Course and is focused on teaching the set of exercise in the Pre-Training Course Exercise List in order to be physically prepared for the Teacher Training Course. It is highly recommended that a student interested in enrolling in a Pre-Training Course takes at least 5-10 private or group GYROKINESIS® classes prior to starting the program.
This course is 6 days, with a minimum of 30 Hours.



Pre-Requisites: Previous experience in GYROKINESIS®
Course Fee: $550

GYROKINESIS® Teacher Training Course
After completing the Pre-training Course the student can move to take the Teacher Training Course. This course introduces teaching techniques and principles underlying the Foundation Course Exercise Manual. Participants learn to execute and teach both the 60 and 90 minutes class format. 
This course is 9days, with a minimum of 45 hours.



Pre-Requisites: Successfully complete Pre-training Course

GYROKINESIS® Supervised Apprentice Hours
The Apprentice Review Course counts as Supervised Reviewing towards the Apprenticeship Requirements. The Supervised Review course is conducted in a format taught over 3 consecutive days, with a minimum of 4 hours per day. Under the supervision of a Master Trainer, the Apprentices demonstrate their ability to teach all 90-minute classes formats that are documented in the Foundation Course Manual.
 This Supervised Review Workshop must be taken with the same GYROKINESIS® Master Trainer.



Pre-Requisites: Complete 15 90-minute classes of teaching.

GYROKINESIS® Certified Instructor Update Course

GYROKINESIS® Beginner Level 2 Course

This is a course for students who want to deepen their understanding beyond the foundation course but also is a mandatory course before students willing to take Level 2 Foundation Course with Juliu Horvath. 
Students must be certified as GYROKINESIS® Trainer Level 1 for a minimum of 4 months, prior to enrolling to this course.
 The student must take the Beginner Level 2 course at least 4 months before enrolling in the GYROKINESIS® Level 2 Foundation Course. 
This course is 6 Days with a minimum of 4 hours per day.

Specialized Equipment Training
Living Room SoHo is offering teacher training courses on the “Archway” and the “Jumping Stretching Board”. Trainings are offered in groups of 4 people, twice a year.
